Reviews about The Ridgeway Surgery
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I have used this practice for about 2 decades and I can honestly say that I have no complaints.... I use their online appointment system, which allows me to see what doctors/slots are available and at 2 different sites..... even for weeks ahead. If people have to wait past their appointed time, it's because the GP is spending more than the 10 allocated minutes with each patient, not rushing them out the door before they sit down. One day any of us might need that few extra minutes. The Reception staff and busy and always helpful. We need to remember they are under a lot of pressure too. If the phones aren't answered immediately, that's because patients call up feeling distressed, with speech/language difficulties, unable to express their needs, various reasons. That delays staff, who must continue with the call regardless..... Many of my friends and colleagues tell me that they have no trouble getting through to their GP's but have to wait 2 or 3 weeks to get an appointment - the Ridgeway off a "same day" service for emergencies! Without paying hundreds of pounds to see a private GP you'll fund it hard to get a better surgery!!by Regina ReidNovember 21, 2017
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I have been here a couple years and have now decided to leave. Getting an appointment via phone is very difficult as the line is busy and waiting times at the practice is never shorter than 20-30 minutes until you are seen. Many times I have waited an hour. I see other patients too checking watches and getting frustrated. This is not an exaggeration. Since having a baby a few months ago I have been further disappointed with the lack of care time and patience shown by a range of doctors when I had concerns over my sons weihjt and colic, (answer was sorry no scales here you have to go to a weigh in clinic and re colic I got compared to a Patient who the doctor had previously seen who cried 24 hours a day - this doesn't help me or my baby!) There was a lack of organisation during my pregnancy care. A lot of my antenatal checks were left incomplete due to something like the GP not having a Doppler in the room. They are slack with blood test results too and hospital referrals for scans etc In my opinion, this is a very overrun practice with big gaps in crucial areasby Anj PatelMarch 24, 2017
